Brewery Arts Center to bring last Flatbed Concert of the season Saturday to the west side, pending air quality
If you haven't come out to see the Brewery Arts Center's Flatbed Concert Series this summer, this Saturday is your last chance! The BAC will be bringing the rock band "Silver" to the West Side of Carson City beginning at 4:30 p.m.
The Brewery Arts Center will deliver live music directly to the citizens of Carson City while practicing social distancing once again this week.
Miles Construction Company has generously donated the use of a Flatbed Truck and with financial support from The Change Companies, the Nauman Foundation, and Carson Tahoe Hospital, all summer the BAC has placed musicians and bands on the flatbed and driven them through the streets and neighborhoods of Carson City and we thank Carson City for its enthusiasm and support.
This Saturday, Sept. 19, the BAC is proud to present Silver. Silver is a five-piece callback to great Rock‘n’Roll. Their collective tenure in many pinnacle Reno bands left them seasoned performers and accomplished studio musicians. The foundation of Rock is built on five things: bass, drums, keyboard, rhythm guitar, and lead guitar. These are the weapons of choice for Silver and they wield them with assassin-like precision.
“We loved being able to bring live music directly to the citizens of Carson City during these challenging times," said Gina Lopez, Executive Director of the BAC. "We appreciate all the support and encourage you to continue to wear your masks so that we can keep everyone safe and bring live entertainment back to Carson City very soon. Thank you to our wonderful sponsors and for your donations each week, allowing us to pay artists properly and keep the music alive.”
Please note, this week the flatbed truck concert has a new time and will begin at 4:30pm and will end at 7:30pm as it has been getting darker earlier. The flatbed stage will make its way through the west side of Carson City and will stop wherever people are safely gathering.
The BAC strongly encourages social distancing and especially wearing masks when they stop by the larger, open spaces and parks to perform a few songs. The BAC will be giving out goodie bags and art kits for the kids and even face masks if you need one.
****** Please continue to check on the BAC Facebook page as if air quality is dangerous, this event will be cancelled. The health and safety of our citizens and artists are of the utmost importance.
