21 locations on board for Saturday's Taste of the Comstock
This weekend’s inaugural Taste of the Comstock in historic Virginia City melds together food, drink and history for a complete sensory experience with 21 locations that will top the offerings: from candy stores and fine dining establishments to bed and breakfasts, barbecue houses and saloons.
"It's not only about great food," Deny Dotson, Virginia City tourism director, said of Saturday's 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. event. "While you'll definitely get that, this event allows people to sample everything we have to offer on the Comstock, all in one day. From candy to fine dining and from a Bloody Mary to offerings at our bed and breakfasts, it’s a different dine-around event that is based in our historic culture."
