VIRGINIA CITY/RENO, NV – St. Mary's Art Center is proud to present the opening reception of Meaning: The Search For, a large-scale solo exhibition by Las Vegas artist, Nancy Good, on Sunday, May 14, 2023, 1-4pm. The exhibition explores the range and evolution of Good’s contemporary work and features paintings, sculptural canvas, and murals. The exhibition is on view now through August 13, 2023.

Join us for a festive day on the Comstock filled with art, crafts, books, music, and more. Our 4-story historic building will be filled with one-of-a-kind gifts, lights, and laughter. With 36 tables of handmade goods and fine art by local and regional artists and makers, there is something for everyone.

VIRGINIA CITY — Dec. 4-5, 2021, St. Mary’s Art Center, historic landmark and former St. Mary Louise Hospital built in 1875, will host more than 22 artists and makers for a festive, vibrant and fun weekend of arts, crafts, refreshments, and holiday music.

Nevada Humanities is pleased to announce the awards for Nevada Humanities CARES: Emergency Relief Grants for Nevada Humanities and Cultural Organizations. Forty-six cultural and humanities organizations across Nevada received $368,873 in federal CARES Act grants.

CARSON CITY — The Nevada Arts Council has issued $392,250 in federal funds to 79 arts organizations through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. Grant amounts ranged from $1,000 to $10,000, based on each group’s total annual revenue.

Events include the Silver State Art Festival at Fuji Park, suicide awareness walks in Carson City, a Celtic faire at Dangberg Home Ranch, the ninth annual Edible Pedal bike ride at Bowers Mansion, train rides in Virginia City and much more!

Renowned American Artist, E. Louise Kerr, peacefully passed away in her Virginia City, Nevada home with her loved ones by her side. February 19, 1925 to November 13, 2018

CARSON CITY — The Nevada Arts Council announced Friday the awarding of more than $1 million in statewide grants to 172 recipients ranging from individual artists to nonprofit organizations and public institutions for the 2020 fiscal year.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in the Nevada state capital, and there is no shortage of holiday events and activities to make the season bright.

The mighty U.S. Navy Blue Angels and fellow air show performers give an encore performance Sunday, the final day of the 2018 Aviation Roundup at the Minden-Tahoe Airport.

The Reno Coin Club has returned to the Nevada State Museum for it’s annual National Coin Week celebration with lectures, demonstrations, and foreign coins for kids. It’s a BINGO kind of night. Dayton High School is raising funds for their Safe Grad Night with a huge raffle and plenty of family-friendly BINGO fun. Leaves turning, wind blowing, and all things pumpkin sprouting up everywhere. It is absolutely autumn in Northern Nevada. Get ready for Halloween with your choice of pumpkin patches. Seeliger Elementary School is hosting theirs for the twenty-fifth year in a row. Take a trip on the V and T Steam Train at the Nevada Railroad Museum, actually take several trips. The annual Harvest Train event offers an all-day wristband that allows for as many rides as you’d like, in addition to museum admission. So many more fun activities are available to you, you’ll have to read on to see them all.
