Applications sought for Carson City Volunteers in Partnership with the Sheriff program
Help make a difference in your community, become an active volunteer for the Carson City Sheriff’s Office. Volunteers are the backbone of our organization and assist with a number of law enforcement duties so that sheriff’s deputies have more time to effectively spend in law enforcement duties.
Currently the Volunteers in Partnership with the Sheriff Program, also known as VIPS, have opportunities and supportive service needs for Front Counter clerical duties and addressing questions and offering information to the public; Patrol Operations to assist at accidents, with parking violations and numerous other activities and Jail Visitation appointment scheduling. There's also VIPS for Vets support providing services to Veterans.
You don’t need experience, training will be provided.
If you are interested in joining the Volunteers in Partnership with the Sheriff Program (VIP’s) and learning more about the available opportunities, please contact Ken Smith at 775-283-7810 for further information or pick up an application during business hours at the Front Counter of the Sheriff’s Office, 911 E Musser St. Carson City.
