Carson City crime log: Arrests made for drunken pedestrian, alternative sentencing violations
A 25-year-old man was arrested Sunday night in the 1000 block of North Plaza Street for misdemeanor suspicion of being a drunken pedestrian in the roadway, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the booking report, officers were called to the 900 block of North Carson Street for a report of a man who called dispatch, stated he was being chased and then became uncooperative.
A deputy observed the man matching the description running on the road northbound on Carson Street. He turned eastbound on William Street and southbound on Plaza. He then sat down on the sidewalk on North Plaza Street.
The intoxicated man identified himself and stated he didn’t know where he lived, the report states. He became verbally uncooperative and began cursing at deputies, calling them “bitches” and said deputies were afraid of him, the arrest report states. He also stated he had consumed Patron.
After several attempts and instructions on how to provide a breath sample on a preliminary breath test, he provided a partial breath of .180. He was arrested at 11:18 p.m. for drunken pedestrian. Bail: $87.

A 22-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Monday at in the 1800 block of North Edmonds for misdemeanor probation violation through the Department of Alternative Sentencing, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, the man was sitting with a female at a casino in which he was not to have contact with per Department of Alternative Sentencing conditions.
The man told the arresting deputy he was aware that he wasn’t allowed to have contact with the woman, his girlfriend, and that he was in the process of writing a letter to the judge for the condition to be lifted, the report states. Bail: $3,000.
— A 32-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday, 7:25 p.m. in the 2000 block of Fieldcrest Drive for misdemeanor violation of a suspended sentence. According to the arrest report, deputies responded for a “keep the peace” call at a residence.
A deputy met with the man who had red, watery eyes and a strong odor of alcohol coming from his person. The deputy asked if he had been drinking. The man stated he had alcoholic beverages earlier in the morning. Dispatch ran the man's information for wants and warrants and informed the deputy he was on Alternative Sentencing with a condition of not consuming alcohol.
The man consented to a preliminary breath test with a result of .097. The Department of Alternative Sentencing was presented the PBT results and requested he be arrested for DAS violation. Bail: $1,000.
