Reno-Tahoe Airport to hold safety and security drill
Reno-Tahoe International Airport will conduct a routine safety and security drill today, Tuesday, until around 2 p.m., airport officials said. The exercise will take place at various locations around the airport.
Typical during mock emergency trainings, travelers may see additional security personnel throughout the day; however, no operational delays or interruptions are expected, airport officials said.
The Federal Aviation and Administration mandated exercises are performed randomly each calendar year.
Although the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority involves the community in the airport’s triennial disaster drill, Tuesday's event isn't open to the public or media.
