Inmate walk away from Carson City's Stewart Conservation Camp recaptured in Reno
Nevada Department of Corrections inmate Ricardo Soria Valencia was recaptured at 1:45 Tuesday morning in Reno, prison officials said. The minimum security inmate walked away from Stewart Conservation Camp in Carson City on Sunday morning.
Reno Police Department was first on scene and took him into custody. Investigators from the Inspector General’s Office arrived and returned Valencia to Northern Nevada Correctional Center.
The 27-year-old arrived at NDOC from Washoe County, March 9 and was serving 24 to 60 months for possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of a controlled substance.
