Urban Renewal Project transforms Minnesota Street Stage in downtown Carson City
A band from Los Angeles mixed it up with Nevadans Saturday night on the Minnesota Street Stage at the Brewery Arts Center in downtown Carson City.
The Urban Renewal Project (URP) delivered its unique brand of upbeat soul, jazz and hip-hop music to concert-goers attending the Levitt AMP Carson City Music Series Saturday, the eighth of 10 free summer concerts held at the Brewery Arts Center.
Sponsored, in part, by the Mortimer & Mimi Levitt Foundation, the Levitt AMP Carson City Music Series is nearing the end of its third consecutive season in the Nevada state capital.
Only two more weekend concerts remain on the schedule: Dennis Johnson and the Mississippi Ramblers on Aug. 18 and La Chamba on Aug. 25.
The free public concert event invites people to bring their own picnics, blankets and lawn chairs to the concerts, which will have an open lawn and lot setting.
Food trucks, libations and kid’s activities will be available at each of the shows. The Levitt AMP Carson City Music Series plays at 449 West King Street, corner of King and Minnesota. Admission is free. The show starts at 7 p.m.
