Community immunity: Carson City Health and Human Services host back to school vaccinations
While students gather their books and pencils for the new school year, Carson City Health and Human Services will host back to school special vaccination days August 14-18, and August 21.
The immunizations will be held at 900 East Long Street in Carson City. No set appointment will be necessary, as times will range from 8:30-11:30 a.m., to 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Carson City Health and Human Services have also teamed-up with the Vaccines for Children Program, providing vaccinations to children 18 years of age and younger who are: uninsured, have Medicaid, or under-insured, keeping families safe and healthy while kids are in school.
A vaccine administration fee may be applied based on the number of vaccinations given, Medicaid and most private insurances will face a charge as well. A list of the insurances that Carson City Health and Human Services fee can be found with this link: http://gethealthycarsoncity.org/programs/
