Comedy showcase and open mic at BAC
Enjoy an evening with some of Northern Nevada’s best stand-up comics, then try out some stand-up comedy of your own at the post-show open mic event.
The Brewery Arts Center (BAC) is hosting a Stand-Up Comedy Showcase on Saturday, August 20 at 8 p.m. inside the BAC's Maizie Jesse Harris Black Box Theatre. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are just $5 at the door with open seating and a cash bar.
Nick Josten is hosting the showcase and the open mic comedy event.
A Carson High graduate, Josten is a regular opener at The Pioneer Underground in Reno and has performed theatre with the BAC dating back to high school.
John Ager is headlining the show, bringing decades of stand-up experience to the BAC stage. He pulls from his extensive experience in the military and law enforcement to bring hilarious anecdotes to life.
Jose Spadoni brings her long experience from the L.A. comedy scene to our Nevada doors.
Rounding out the bill is Bryant Tarpley, who is touring the western United States as a wandering comedic troubadour extraordinaire.
Once the stand-up showcase concludes, names will be taken for the comedy open mic.
Each open mic comic gets five minutes of stage time. Names are drawn at random.
The BAC is located at 449 King Street in Carson City.
