Carson Middle School cafeteria gets facelift with new paint, stencil work
Students and employees returning to Carson Middle School in Carson City for the first day of school Monday, August 19, 2024, will notice a complete facelift of their school’s cafeteria.
The interior paint project provides a more welcoming and inspiring environment for students during lunch as well as parents, families and community members who visit the venue for special musical events and other activities.
The project was brought about through Carson Middle School administrators, Nutrition Services’ program improvement funds and the district’s partnership with Chartwells, a food service management company.
The paint project began in late June, starting with the base paint colors. The stencils and graphics are expected to be completed by the end of the week. This is the first time the entire cafeteria has been painted. The venue’s previous condition was the building’s original natural brick.
