Organizers: Carson City's 33rd What Cha Brung a success with 215 classic vehicles registered
Organizers of this weekend's 33rd annual Carson City car show known as Run What Cha Brung say it was a great success with 215 cars that were officially entered into the event held at Mills Park.
First and second place awards were given in 27 categories. There were also awards for, participants choice, people's choice and the sheriff's pick.
The Karson Kruzers have struggled with their car show over the past two years because of competing events taking place on their traditional show day that was normally held in late June at Fuji Park. Moving the show to late July and to Mills Park turned out to be a very successful decision, organizers say.
The club wants to thank the community, the city of Carson City, Parks and Recreation and the Carson City Culture and Tourism Authority for all their help in promoting the show. Many local and regional business's were also instrumental in the success of the Run What Cha Brung.
The Karson Kruzers would like to invite local and regional car enthusiasts to join. There are no restrictions because of the vehicle owned, in fact there is no rule that you have to have a car at all. The club meets at the College Parkway Round Table Pizza on the second Sundays of each month, beginning at 4:30 p.m.
In the photos above those of the selected as the car show's Participant's Pick, considered the best of show. The participant's pick is a 1932 Ford coupe Street Rod owned by Henry and Pat Zepeta of Carson City.
