Carson City arrests: Woman flees deputies, slams into parked motorcycle and runs into bar
A 23-year-old Reno woman was arrested Saturday for felony suspicion of eluding deputies, endangering persons or property, driving under the influence, hit and run of an unoccupied vehicle and driving on a suspended license, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Alyssa Annpearl Holmes was booked into custody at 2:11 a.m. in the 100 block of East Telegraph. According to the arrest report, officers in the area observed the woman drive southbound in the wrong direction on a one-way street. When deputies attempted a traffic stop on the Audi 4-door sedan, Holmes allegedly drove through a parking lot and hit a parked motorcycle. The woman and a man then jumped out of the vehicle and ran into a nearby bar where she was identified.
Holmes gave deputies a fake name and date of birth. A person from inside the bar gave the officer the woman’s phone and keys, saying she left them inside, the arrest report states. The woman then identified herself and said her pink purse inside the vehicle contained her driver’s license. Dispatch advised she had a revoked license and she was taking into custody.
The woman conducted standardized field sobriety tests and performed them unsatisfactory. She blew evidentiary breath tests of .093 and .091. Her bail was set at $20,000. Meanwhile, A 27-year-old Carson City man, Daniel G. Cunningham, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was also arrested for a felony parole and probation violation.
In other arrests:
— A 32-year-old Carson City man, Rafael Oseguera, was arrested Saturday, 12:45 a.m. in the 600 block of Hot Springs Road on felony suspicion of methamphetamine possession and being in violation of bail conditions. Bail: $5,500.
— A 19-year-old Carson City woman, Elizabeth Lavelle, was arrested Friday, 2:40 p.m. in the 4300 block of North Carson Street on felony suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, four misdemeanor counts possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license and failure to use turn signals. The woman was arrested after officers found several methamphetamine pipes in her vehicle. She was asked if she had any drugs on her at the time of her arrest. The woman said she did not. At jail, the woman had a gram of methamphetamine that she retrieved for officers, the arrest report states. Bail: $7,772.
— A 50-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Saturday, 12:10 a.m. in the 1900 block of North Carson Street for being an ex-felon failing to register. Bail: $242.
— A 20-year-old and 23-year-old were arrested Saturday, 4:48 a.m. in the area of Stewart and William streets on a misdemeanor charges of violation of probation. Bail: $3,000 each.
— A 24-year-old Minden man was arrested Saturday, 12:39 a.m. in the area of Roop and Northridge on suspicion of DUI. The man submitted to preliminary breath tests and showed signs of impairment. He had a preliminary breath test of .133. Bail: $1,137.
— A 22-year-old Carson City man, Luis Alberto Mariscal, was arrested Friday, 10:29 p.m. on a felony parole and probation violation. He is being held without bail in lieu of a hearing.
— A 37-year-old Carson City man, Rafael Casarez, was arrested Friday, 3:27 p.m. on a felony probation violation, and misdemeanor suspicion of DUI drugs, possession of marijuana and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. According to the arrest report, a deputy was attempting to get to a vehicle accident when a vehicle in front of him failed to yield. The officer used his lights and changed his siren multiple times.
The officer stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver and observed slow, slurred speech. He was asked if he had been drinking. The man said he had not. A check through dispatch showed he was on supervision with the Department of Parol and Probation.
A canine unit was called to the scene where there was an exterior sniff of the vehicle. The dog made a positives alert. Officers located around a half-ounce of marijuana in a plastic baggie under the passenger seat and he was arrested. He told officers the marijuana was his for personal use. During a field sobriety questionnaire the man admitted to methamphetamine and marijuana use within the last two days. He’s being held without bail in lieu of a hearing by Parole and Probation.
— A 24-year-old Carson City man, Michael David Madore, was arrested Friday, 8:45 p.m. on felony suspicion of burglary and home invasion and misdemeanor trespassing, destruction of private property and petit larceny. According to the arrest report, the man broke into the residence of the victim. The suspect is her husband who she is separated from, the arrest report states. He broke into the residence by using a ladder and climbing through a window. The man had attempted to knock and gain intro into her residence earlier but the woman would not let him in, the arrest report states. The victim locked herself and two children in a bedroom and she called 911 for help. The suspect was found with the woman’s purse and vehicle keys. Bail: $50,000.
