Carson City arrests: Woman allegedly hits disabled man, breaks phone and steals quarters

A 48-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Monday on felony suspicion of preventing a victim from calling 911 among other charges, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

She then allegedly rummaged through coin jars belonging to the victim, and then went to the kitchen and found a roll of quarters and put it in her pocket.

The 68-year-old disabled victim said he tried to push the woman out of the residence and took out his cell phone to call 911. According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched to the 1100 block of East Long Street for a stolen bicycle.
