Carson City arrests: Two booked for burglary, home invasion after forced entry into home
Two men were arrested Sunday for suspicion of felony burglary and home invasion, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
Ruben Andrade, 33, and Gabriel Antonio Hernandez, 39, were taken into custody following an investigation. Andrade was also booked for suspicion of misdemeanor obstructing and being a drunken pedestrian.
According to the booking report, deputies were sent at 12:50 a.m. to a residence following a report of several male subjects yelling and screaming in the background of a 911 call.
Deputies arrived and heard yelling coming from the residence and observed two men, Andrade and Hernandez, standing in a doorway and yelling at individuals inside.
Deputies began to separate all the parties involved both inside and outside when Andrade began to walk away. He was told to come back but the suspect continued to walk. He was detained and then told an officer "I'm not giving you my name."
Eventually he gave a deputy the name of just "Ruben" and then argued and became condescending to the deputy, failing to provide identification, the report states.
Inside the residence, officers observed three individuals standing in the living room, a couple and their teenage daughter. Investigating officers learned the suspects entered the home, forcing their way into the residence, then grabbing the male victim, ripping his shirt off and scraping him on his chest. Deputies observed fresh scratch wounds on the man's chest. Both suspects refused to leave the residence and continued yelling, the report states.
Deputies were able to see video footage of the incident, that was booked into evidence, which showed the suspects shove their way into the front door of the residence, grabbing the male victim and ripping his shirt. Deputies observed both suspects in the physical altercation with the victim and exchanged words.
Both men were arrested for suspicion of burglary and home invasion. Andrade was also booked for obstructing and being a drunken pedestrian in the roadway. Bail for both men: $20,000.
