California man faces felony statutory sexual seduction charge
A 65-year-old California man was arrested on a felony warrant charge of suspicion of statutory sexual seduction. Ronald Gene Hicks of Highland, Calif., was brought into jail Wednesday through an extradition and a $20,000 bail amount was set. No other information was available. The warrant was issued July 8, 2014 out of Carson City Justice Court.
In other felony arrests: A 23-year-old Carson City woman, Kady Joann Werlinger, was arrested July 23 in the 4200 block of Shelbyville on felony drug charges of maintaining a drug house and possession of methamphetamine.
Officers arrested three others at the home, one for a felony drug offense, Louis Gibson Fletcher, 42, and two others on misdemeanor charges.
According to the arrest report, officers were called to the address based on reports of suspicious drug activity and a tenant with a warrant who had been seen the location earlier in the day.
Officers advised Werlinger of the situation where she provided a signed written consent to search the residence for people and narcotics, the arrest report states.
She showed officers a nightstand in her bedroom that contained a glass pipe used to smoke methamphetamine, baggies of .5 grams hashish, 1 gram hashish, .5 grams methamphetamine and 1 gram of marijuana.
The woman told officers Fletcher owned all the narcotics on the night stand. Fletcher responded that he only owned the hashish and marijuana. Two others were found in the garage and a tenant was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant. Bail for Werlinger: $23,637. Bail for Fletcher, $5,500.
Meanwhile, a 32-year-old Carson City man was arrested on two misdemeanor warrant charges, violation of a suspended sentence and contempt of court. Bail: $3,227. And a woman, 40, was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant charge of contempt of court, Bail: $500.
— A 31-year-old inmate at Carson City Jail, Travis Williams, faces a felony charge, unlawful acts related to human excrement, in an incident at jail.
According to the arrest report the man covered his cell in his own feces and refused to cooperate with orders given by deputies.
The man had been threatening to throw urine, semen and feces at deputies who attempted to open the cell door or pass of food through the slot, the arrest report states. The food pass slot of the cell was covered in the man’s feces making it difficult for deputies to give the man water or pale him in restraints without coming into con act with the man’s feces, the arrest report states.
Williams decided he would comply with a deputy’s order to put on belly chain restrains so he could exit the cell to have it cleaned. Bail: $5,000.
In misdemeanor-related arrests:
— A 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday on three misdemeanor charges including DUI. Officers stopped a silver Mustang driving without headlights at around 3 a.m. in the area of Musser and Valley streets.
The man stated he had been consuming alcohol and did not have current proof of insurance. He also stated he did not want to participate in a series of field sobriety tests.
He did provide a breath test with a preliminary result of .251, the arrest report states. He was taken to jail, where he provided two consecutive breath samples, resulting in a .275 and .291.
He was booked into jail on misdemeanor charges of DUI first offense, driving without headlights and no proof of insurance. Bail: $1,966.
— A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday, 1:42 a.m. in the 500 block of North Carson Street on a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct. According to the arrest report, officers were called regarding an intoxicated an at a casino who refused to leave. Bail: $242.
— A 22-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday 4:21 p.m. in the area of Country Village Drive and East Fifth Street on a misdemeanor warrant issued July 19, 2014 out of Carson City Justice Court and driving on a suspended vehicle registration. Bail: $1,167.
— A 51-year-old transient was arrested Thursday, in the 3900 block of Quinn Drive on misdemeanor charges of trespassing and destruction of private property. The woman allegedly knocked over trash, threw juice in the residence and poured liquid bleach into the dryer that drained through the machine.
Officers contacted the woman and told her she was not allowed on the property. She refused to leave. The victim said he wanted a citizens arrest charging her for trespassing. Bail: $879.
— A 46-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday, around 7 p.m. in the 3700 block of South Carson Street on a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear in court. Bail: $330.
— A 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday, 6:55 p.m. in the 1100 block of South Nevada Street on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery. Bail: $3,137.
Those arrested and facing criminal charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
