NHP identifies Reno man in fatal Carson City rollover at Goni Road

On Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at approximately 11:31 p.m., Nevada Highway Patrol troopers responded to a fatal crash at Goni Road at Fermi Road in Carson City per a memorandum of understanding with the Carson City Sheriff’s Office.

Preliminary investigation shows that a white 2005 Ford Explorer was traveling southbound on Goni Road approaching Fermi Road. The driver of the Explorer began to negotiate a curve, entered a broadside skid, left the roadway to the left, and overturned.

The driver, Beau Mathews-Amos, a 24-year-old Reno resident, was declared deceased at the scene.

This crash is being investigated by the Nevada Highway Patrol Northern Command West Multi-Disciplinary Investigation and Reconstruction Team (M.I.R.T.) - NHP Case #210701654.

Carson’s Got Talent, an evening extravaganza of regional talent, is holding auditions for the April 14 show at Forever Dance, 1851 S. Roop Street in Carson City on Sunday Feb. 11.
