Carson City sheriff’s arrest log: Woman jailed on suspicion of third DUI
A 60-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday in the 3200 block of Highway 50 East on suspicion of a third DUI, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Lauren Marie Parkison was taken into custody at 6:34 p.m. According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched to the CVS on Highway 50 East in reference to a minor traffic collision.
The 60-year-old driver appeared intoxicated. She had red watery eyes and slurred her words. She was asked if she had anything alcoholic to drink or was on any prescription medications. She told the officer she only takes medications prescribed to her and she does not drink alcohol and hasn’t in the past 12 years, the arrest report states.
She was asked a series of questions for the standardized field sobriety test. The woman stated she takes medication for three conditions. Carson City Fire Department checked to see if she was having a diabetic episode. Her blood sugar was normal, according to the report. She did not perform the field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was arrested on suspicion of DUI. A check of her history showed she had two DUI conviction in 2015. Bail: $20,000.
— A 46-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Wednesday, 4:38 a.m. in the 1400 block of Rand Avenue on suspicion of domestic battery. Also taken into custody was her 38-year-old husband on misdemeanor suspicion of violation of bail conditions. The married couple were arguing and fighting at the Rand Motel. The woman admitted to slapping her husband in the face. Her husband provided a preliminary breath test with a result of .181. He was on probation with the Department of Alternative Sentencing with a condition not to consume alcohol. Her bail: $3,137. His bail: $3,000.
— A transient female was arrested Wednesday, 10:59 p.m. in the area of Roop and Long streets on misdemeanor suspicion of disorderly conduct and possession of open liquor in public. According to the arrest report, the woman was sleeping on the sidewalk. The woman told firefighters that she was in between places and fell asleep on the sidewalk. Next to her was a half empty container of vodka. She had a preliminary breath test of .203. Bail: $484.
— A 39-year-old Gardnerville woman was arrested Wednesday, 9:43 p.m. in the 1900 block of North Carson Street for misdemeanor suspicion of disorderly conduct. According to the arrest report, the woman was causing a problem in the lobby of a motel and became verbally and physically uncooperative when deputies attempted to take her to jail. Bail: $242.
— A 24-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Wednesday, 9:51 p.m. on a misdemeanor warrant for contempt of court and driving on a suspended registration. Bail: $612.
— Two transients ages 21 and 19 were arrested Tuesday, 12:30 p.m. at Walmart in the 3200 block of Market Street on misdemeanor suspicion of petit larceny. They two allegedly stole deli meats and attempted to leave the store without paying. Bail: $352 each.
