Carson City deputies make felony warrant arrest alleging exploitation of elderly person
A 56-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Wednesday for a felony warrant alleging exploitation of an elderly person of more than $5,000, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Danielle Marcus Pulsifer, was booked into jail at 8:36 a.m. on the warrant, which was issued July 2, 2018 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $10,000.
In other arrests:
— A 29-year-old man, Casey Sean Frank, was booked into Carson City jail on Wednesday for a felony warrant alleging battery with a deadly weapon. The warrant was issued May 1, 2018 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $25,000.
— A 37-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday, 6:21 a.m. in the 2100 block of East William Street for misdemeanor suspicion of filing a false police report.
According to the arrest report, deputies were called to the area in reference to a possible child abduction and made contact with a man who initially said his 4-year-old daughter was taken out of his vehicle as he went inside to contact the child’s aunt and uncle who he said were in town to visit the child at around 4 a.m.
The man told the deputy he has joint custody with the child’s mother who currently has a protection order against him in California. The man then changed his story several times to then say the child’s aunt and uncle were staying at a hotel with the child’s mother. No one was registered at the hotel under the name he provided, the arrest report states.
A deputy made contact with the man’s mother who described her son as being bi-polar and has stopped his prescribed medication. She said the child’s mother is in California and has not been in Carson City for around 3 years.
She told deputies her son left the home at around 3:30 a.m. because he couldn’t sleep. There is no evidence to suggest the child in question was kidnapped, the arrest report states, noting the man fabricated the story. The man then admitted to making a false report and was taken into custody. Bail: $637.
— A 23-year-old Carson City man was arrest early Thursday, 12:38 a.m. in the area of Concord and Sherman for misdemeanor suspicion of DUI and failure to maintain a lane of traffic.
According to the arrest report, an officer observed a vehicle with a missing driver’s side headlight make wide turns, overcorrecting and at one point was driving on the wrong side of East Nye Lane into oncoming traffic.
The officer initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver who admitting to having five beers and a shot of vodka at a nearby bar. He agreed to perform field sobriety tests, showing signs of impairment, the report states.
He provided a preliminary breath test of .197 and was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. At jail he provided blood for evidentiary testing. Bail: $1,224.
— A 66-year-old Mound House man was arrested Wednesday, 10:59 p.m. in the area of Ruby and Emerson streets for misdemeanor DUI and driving the wrong way on a divided highway, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, deputies responded to the area for a wrong way driver going northbound on Carson Street in the southbound travel lanes passing College Parkway.
A reporting party followed the vehicle when it turned onto Arrowhead and continued to Emerson where it turned north. Deputies located the vehicle and made a traffic stop. The driver had a moderate odor of alcohol on his breath. He said he drank 4 beers prior to driving and knew he had been driving the wrong way on Carson Street, the arrest report states.
He submitted to standardized field sobriety tests and did not do them as demonstrated. He provided a preliminary breath test that showed him over .08. He was arrested for suspicion of DUI. At jail he submitted to breath tests with results of .108 and .109, the arrest report states. Bail: $1,224.
— A 30-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Wednesday, 2:27 a.m. in the 2600 block of Highway 50 East for a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant. Bail: $330.
— A Carson City man was booked into jail Wednesday, 8:36 a.m. for a misdemeanor failure to appear traffic warrant issued Jan. 18, 2018 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,595.
— A Carson City man was booked into jail Wednesday, 8:36 a.m. for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued May 18, 2018 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000.
