Carson Street closed Saturday for Car Show, Cornhole
Car Enthusiasts rejoice: Downtown Carson Street is closed today for a vintage car show, and Telegraph St. is similarly closed for a cornhole tournament.
Alternate routes can be found on Stewart and Roop while festivities take place.
The car show stretches throughout the downtown area, bringing a variety of classic vehicles to the capital city Main Street.
The "Summer 2021 Throw Down" Cornhole Tournament is hosted by the Downtown Business Association.
Organizers urged locals and game enthusiasts to register a team and get in on the fun, with $500 up for grabs the first place team, $200 for second place and $100 for third place. The cost to enter is $50 per team. The tournament is a round robin format into a playoff bracket.
Enjoy doowop and 50s music while you gander, and be sure to stop by the farmers market for a snack!
