Carson City arrests: Man jailed for felony property destruction of local business
A 51-year-old man was arrested Wednesday for suspicion of felony property injury or destruction of property, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
James Andy Kligora was taken into custody at 11:20 a.m. following an investigation. According to the booking report, a deputy responded to a business in the 1200 block of North Carson Street for a report of property damage.
The deputy met with the reporting party/business owner who stated the business was closed on July 4 and when he arrived at the location July 5, he observed that several window decals had been damaged on the front of the building. He stated he check his security cameras and observed an unknown male approach the closed business and pull the window decals off the windows, the report states.
The RP provided a description of the man. The deputy reviewed the security footage and recognized the man as Kligora, a homeless man whom CCSO has had multiple contacts with while conducting homes outreach, the report states.
The deputy asked the business owner how much the window decals cost and he stated the two out front were $250 each, and the front door one, $150, and the backdoor one $100 for a total of $750.
The deputy located the suspect in the 800 block of North Carson Street, where he was arrested for the crime. Bail: $5,137.
