A Carson City man faces multiple charges after allegedly fleeing from authorities on a bicycle and having a dagger in his possession.
Robert Weaver, 44, faces a charge of gross misdemeanor possession of a dangerous weapon and misdemeanor charges of obstructing and failing to register as an ex-felon. His bail was set at $3,144.
According to the arrest report, a man who sought to get his saddles back from Weaver called deputies for help. When a deputy arrived to the home where Weaver was believed to be, a woman told them Weaver fled on his bicycle. A deputy saw Weaver on Saliman Road, flashed his emergency lights and told him to stop, according to the arrest report, but Weaver sped up the peddling. Weaver was apprehended in the 1500 block of Como attempting to go through an apartment after abandoning the bike, according to the report.
In Weaver's possession was a dagger concealed in the right front pocket of his pants, according to the arrest report. A warrants check was made, with a South Sutro home given as his last address. A deputy asked Weaver if he was still living there, and Weaver replied that he had not lived there since November, when he was served a restraining order.
