Tahoe Tennis Camp Opens New Location
The Tahoe Tennis Academy opened up a new training ground in a more local location for all of the young rising tennis stars this past week. The camp used to be exclusively in its South Tahoe location, hence the name, but camp director Justin Clark made the decision that it was finally time to expand the horizon of the camp and open it up to more kids.
“Tennis has by far changed my life,” Clark said. “It has opened up so many opportunities that I would have never been able to experience had I not started.”
Mr. Clark started playing tennis at the age of 14 and immediately fell in love with the game. He had a special talent for the sport being ranked well within the top 250 of his age division as a junior in high school.
From high school he took his tennis game to the NCAA level, receiving a full ride scholarship to play at Elon college in South Carolina. After his collegiate career he continued a life of tennis and began coaching college tennis at multiple universities. Several years ago Clark opened the Tahoe Tennis Academy in hopes of teaching today’s youth with all of the glorious opportunities that can evolve through the game of tennis.
The camp takes place at Centennial Sports Complex on the East end of Carson City every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. There are three age groups that are open for anyone from the age of 5 to any incoming seniors in high school. If you are interested in signing up or have further questions about the camp check out Clark's website here.
