Carson City arrests: Video shows woman threatening boyfriend with large kitchen knife
A 30-year-old woman was arrested early Wednesday morning for suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor domestic battery, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
Kendra Williams was taken into custody at 12:25 a.m. following an investigation into an incident that happened in the 900 block of Sonoma Street.
According to the booking report, deputies were dispatched to a residence for a report of a domestic battery. Officers arrived and spoke with the male half, who explained the suspect was his girlfriend and that the couple began arguing over a female friend who was invited to the residence and two female workers in the garage of the residence installing security cameras.
The man told deputies the suspect, later, became angry, grabbed a knife and began to pursue him around the house with the knife. He stated his girlfriend began to come at him with the knife, where he then grabbed the blade and cut his right hand.
A deputy observed a cut on his right palm approximately 1.5 inches in length. The cut didn't appear deep and wasn't bleeding. He told deputies he had video footage on his cell phone of the woman chasing him with a knife.
Deputies viewed the video and observed she had thrown bottles at the suspect while she held a large kitchen knife and then saw the woman with the knife in her hand raise her arms in a threatening manner and walk toward the man, the report states.
The suspect was found in a rear bedroom and was hyperventaliting. She was evaluated by the Carson City Fire Department. A deputy attempted to talk to the woman to get her side of the story, the report states.
She said she got home from the gym and asked the security camera installers, both women, to leave by 7 p.m. The suspect then said she no longer wished to speak with the deputy.
Based on the video of the suspect pursuing the victim around the house with a large kitchen knife and that the man was cut by grabbing the knife, the woman was arrested for alleged assault with a deadly weapon and domestic battery. Bail: $23,137.
