Nevada State Police investigate US-395 incident; vehicle goes into river at bridge in Douglas County
Nevada State Police responded early Monday morning to a call regarding a crash on US395 and Cradlebaugh Bridge in Douglas County. No serious injuries were reported and the driver was arrested.
Reported at 3:38 a.m. the preliminary investigation indicates that a 1995 dark green Jeep Grand Cherokee with a single occupant was traveling northbound on US395, according to NSP troopers.
For unknown reasons, the vehicle left the travel lane, went through a property fence, redirected back through the same property fence, continued north through a fence, down a rock embankment and came to rest in the river, parallel to Cradlebaugh Bridge, NSP troopers said.
The driver did not sustain serious injuries in the crash and was arrested and taken into custody by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
Nevada State Police Highway Patrol is conducting the crash investigation.
