Carson City Sheriff's arrest log: Jail inmate battered by another
One jail inmate was injured by another Friday night after 7:30 p.m., a Carson City Sheriff's deputy assigned to the detention center said.
Eric Buhl, 26, of Carson City was charged with felony battery after video surveillance at the jail showed him striking another inmate in the face with a closed first, the arrest report said.
The victim denied being battered, the report said, stating the bruising and swelling to his face was from falling in the shower.
But video surveillance confirmed that Buhl, already in custody for another offense, had appeared to strike the victim in the face unprovoked.
Buhl reported that the victim had made a verbal threat toward him, the report said, resulting in the battery. Video surveillance showed both inmates exchanging blows after Buhl's initial strike to the victim's face.
The charge of felony battery was added to Buhl's booking. Bail: $20,000.

The suspect was prohibited by the TPO to be at the residence, the report said, and when asked about his knowledge of the TPO restrictions, he admitted that he knew about them.
