Union Carson now open in downtown Carson City
After being closed for 16 months, the brewery space at 302 N. Carson Street reopened to the public Thursday under a new name and with a new attitude.
The Union Carson Eatery, Taphouse and Coffee Bar opened its doors kate Thursday morning to patrons who have been long awaiting its debut.
The Union was selected as the building's new tenant earlier this spring after a months long selection process designed to be diligent and conscientious after the previous tenant, Michael Candelario, was arrested on fraud charges in February 2016, closing his Lake Tahoe Brewing Company at the location.
The new Union Carson is opening in phases: First as a restaurant and full bar, followed by its coffee bar and finally an in-house brewery.
The Union Carson is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
