Carson City authorities seize truck following Sunday hit and run at Firkin
The Carson City Sheriff's Office has seized a vehicle that matches the description involved in a hit and run that caused property damage to the patio area of Firkin and Fox early Sunday morning.
Video surveillance shows the older model pickup crashing into the iron fence in front of Firkin at 3:02 a.m., smashing through the fixtures and potted plants before speeding away.
"We have recovered a truck matching the description that is believed to be involved," said Carson City Sheriff's Office Deputy Dan Ochsenschlager. "We would like to thank the public for providing information regarding the alleged vehicle."
The case is ongoing and more details will be made available after the investigation is complete, said Ochsenschlager.
Dollar estimates on the property damage done is unknown at this time. Surveillance photos of the hit and run were given to Carson Now on Monday. A reader who saw the photos contacted authorities about the pickup, Ochsenschlager said.
