A British take on music featured Sunday at Capital Mall in Carson City
A free Spring concert performed by The Capital City Community Band under the direction of Nick Jacques with Richard Doede, director Emeritus, got underway Sunday afternoon at the amphitheater in the Legislative Mall on Carson Street in Carson City.
The “British Invasion” concert began at 3 p.m. and runs until 5 p.m. It features British music of differing styles from several historic periods including Gustav Holst, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Andrew Lloyd Weber, the Beatles and others. The concept behind Sunday's concert: "We play the music you enjoy."
