Carson City sheriff’s log: Deputies make domestic battery arrests
A 41-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday, 4:36 p.m. in the 800 block of East William on suspicion of domestic battery and violation of alternative sentencing. According to the arrest report, the intoxicated man allegedly slapped his wife across the side of her face with an open right hand.
The man told officers that he and his wife were arguing and admitted that he pushed and slapped her face but said he did it only after she had pushed him out of the way first. The victim stated she never touched him and left immediately after he slapped her, the arrest report states. The man blew a preliminary breath test of .283. Bail: $3,137.
— A 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday in the area of North Carson and Long streets on misdemeanor charges of possession of a controlled substance and a contempt of court warrant. Bail: $2,137.
— A 39-year-old Carson City man was booked Monday into Carson City Jail on a misdemeanor warrant, violation of a suspended sentence, issued May 26, 2015 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000.
— A Carson City man was arrested Sunday, 11:16 p.m. in the 1900 block of North Carson Street on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery. According to the arrest report, a witness told deputies that their father had shoved their mother during an argument. The father, who was intoxicated, was determined to be the primary aggressor. Bail: $3,137.
— A 20-year-old Mound House woman was booked Sunday into Carson City jail on a misdemeanor court warrant, failure to comply, issued April 23, 2015 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $500.
