UPDATE 5:34PM: The fire is around 4 to 5 acres and is being doused by a helicopter and fire crews on scene. Forward progress of the fire has been stopped and the area was receiving rain. Carson City Fire Chief Sean Slamon noted firefighters are experience erratic wind behavior but that they also have the upper hand, with about 70 percent containment.

UPDATE 2:55PM: The Douglas County Sheriff's Office has identified the victims of Thursday morning's fatal skydiving accident that happened near the Minden-Tahoe Airport.
