Jazz and Beyond Carson City harmonica events Sunday moved to BAC Performance Hall
Due to expected inclement weather, all three harmonica events today, Sunday, Aug. 6, will be held in the Brewery Arts Center (BAC) Performance Hall. The Red Tango performance will still be in the BAC Ballroom from 1 to 3 p.m. as planned. These are all part of the Jazz and Beyond Music Festival.
The original plan was to have the Hohner Harmonica Roadshow in Performance Hall from 3:30 to 6 p.m. That has not changed.
The performance by Tom Stryker's Impromptu from 7 to 8 p.m. and by the Ronnie Shellist Blues Band from 8:15 to 9:15 p.m. were originally scheduled for BAC Minnesota Street Stage.
They have now been moved to the Performance Hall. Tom Stryker's Impromptu concert will emphasize the use of harmonica in a jazz setting, while the Ronnie Shellist Blues Band concert will explore the use of harmonica in a blues setting.
Harmonica players Stryker and Shellist will be assisted by Rocky Tatarelli, tenor sax; Jimmy Vermilion, keyboard; Mick Valentino, guitar; Hal Little, drums; Marcy Benner, vocals; and Carolyn Dolan, vocals and harmonica. All the events mentioned here are free.
A food truck will be on site during parts of the harmonica events. For more information about Jazz & Beyond, see JazzCarsonCity.com.
