Carson City woman jailed for felony assault after allegedly trying to hit boyfriend with vehicle

A 30-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Saturday for felony suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, misdemeanor violation of bail conditions and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Bailey Wilson was taken into custody at 1:52 p.m in the 3400 block of North Carson Street. According to the arrest report, an off-duty Douglas County deputy observed the woman attempt to run over her boyfriend in her vehicle. The deputy advised on-duty officers the victim was running away, with the woman following him in her Ford Explorer, attempting to hit him with the vehicle. The woman was located and taken into custody. Bail: $24,137.

— A 20-year-old Carson City man, Jacob Andrew Watts, was arrested Monday, 1:37 a.m. in the area of East Long and north Saliman streets for felony suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, felony parole and probation violation and five misdemeanors: possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without a valid driver’s license, driving an un-registered vehicle, no insurance and a Department of Alternative Sentencing hold.

A 46-year-old woman with him, Elenda Jolene Stellhorn, also of Carson City, faces a felony possession of a controlled substance charge, gross misdemeanor possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the arrest report, during an investigation deputies located heroin, a methamphetamine pipe in a vehicle following a traffic stop. During jail intake of Stellhorn, officers recovered a large pill bottle with different medications that required prescriptions the woman did not have. Bail for Watts: $7,678, plus a no bail hold for the parole and probation violation. Bail for Stellhorn: $6,137.

— A 39-year-old Reno woman, Sacha Lennon, was arrested Saturday, 10:21 p.m. in the area of Spear and Valley streets for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and parole and probation violation, both felonies. Bail: $2,500.

— A 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday, 4:50 a.m. in the 1000 block of East William Street for misdemeanor suspicion of DUI second offense, violation of a suspended sentence and failure to maintain a travel lane.

According to the arrest report, a white Cadillac SUV was traveling on East William Street and failed to maintain its marked lane of travel several times, drifting across white painted lane lines.

A Carson City sheriff’s sergeant stopped the vehicle, met with the driver and observed signs of impairment. During standardized field sobriety tests the man showed signs of impairment. He consented to a preliminary breath test with a .122 BAC. Bail: $3,724.

— A 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday, 4:40 p.m. in the 1700 block of Russell Way for a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant issued in March 2016. Bail: $174.

— A 20-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Saturday, 2:03 a.m. in the 3900 block of Highway 50 East for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued in April out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $500.

— A 25-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Sunday, 6:11 p.m. in the 1600 block of East Long Street for a misdemeanor violation of a suspended sentence warrant. Bail: $1,000.

A 32-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday, 11:04 p.m. in the area of Otha and College for misdemeanor violation of probation. According to the arrest report, the man had been drinking, a violation of probation terms. His preliminary breath test was a .310. He was taken to the hospital for medical clearance and then taken to jail. Bail: $3,000.
