About Augmented Reality
Augmented reality (AR) enhances real-world images, objects or environments with overlaid digital information, in the forms of animation, video, audio or static images. The overlays are revealed when a smart device, utilizing an AR app, is hovered over a target image, object or location. AR adds an online-type encounter with the real world by adding thrilling, entertaining, interactive and informative experiences.
The Carson City Experience
The Carson City Experience is a city-wide, augmented reality project, in which any business or organization may participate. Presented by Agency 36, in coordination with the Carson City Visitor's Bureau, the CCX unites business, industry, art, culture, education and technology to make Carson City, Nevada the World's First Augmented Reality City.
Agency 36 is a Carson City company specializing in augmented reality and interactive publications. They are creators of the Carson City Experience and the locally-distributed Carson Quarterly.
The Carson City Experience is scheduled to launch on August 2, 2014 in conjunction with the NV 150 State Fair.
