Nevada State Republicans call for complete review regarding alleged connections to Proud Boys

The Senate Republican Caucus released the following statement regarding allegations of connections between the Nevada Republican Party and members of the organization known as "Proud Boys."

Racism, intimidation, and violence have no place in the Nevada Republican Party.

News reports that state party leaders may have formed a relationship with members of the organization known as the Proud Boys to sway the censure vote of a public official is profoundly concerning.

Senate Republicans call for a complete review of the April 10, 2021 Nevada Republican Party State Central Committee meeting credentialing process and a full audit of the vote that resulted in the censure of Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske.

Senate Republicans reaffirm their support of the Secretary of State's comprehensive review of alleged election violations submitted by the Nevada Republican Party.

If there is a determination that any member or employee of the Nevada Republican Party conspired with these individuals or had knowledge of any wrongdoing in the party vote, Senate Republicans call for their immediate removal and resignation.

With freezing temperatures and snow levels expected to drop, the National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory from Tuesday afternoon to early Wednesday morning for the greater Reno, Carson City and Carson Valley areas.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office held a press conference Monday regarding two homicides that occurred within four days of each other in the Gardnerville area. Both murders were committed within a mile of each other in the Gardnerville Ranchos area and the suspect remains at large.

UPDATE 9:05AM: The suspect in last night's pursuit that ended near the Minden Tahoe Airport appears to not be related to the two homicides, according to Douglas County Sheriff Daniel J. Coverley.

A man was taken into custody late Sunday night after leading Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputies on a high speed pursuit that began in the Dresslerville area between the suspect and Washoe Tribal Police Officers after attempting to serve the suspect a warrant.

An adult Bald Eagle was spotted Sunday morning eating breakfast on Silver Oak Golf Course in Northwest Carson City.

Over the span of 24 hours, I have found both Golden and Bald Eagles here around the Nevada state capital, truly capturing the namesake of the "Eagle Valley."

UPDATE MONDAY: A series of storms will move through the region this week with the strongest storm impacting the region late Wednesday through Thursday. Several feet of snow are possible above 8,000 feet with up to 2 feet of accumulation down to 6,000 feet in the Sierra.
