NHP: State Route 28 near Chimney Beach at Tahoe reopens after large boulder removed
UPDATE 5:45PM: Nevada Highway Patrol says that NDOT was able to clear the boulder out faster than expected and SR28 is now open.

Nevada Highway Patrol Northern Command reports that a large boulder fell on to State Route 28 near Chimney Beach at the Carson City/Washoe County line, blocking both directions of travel.
NHP Twitter reports at 4:45 p.m. Monday afternoon that the Nevada Department of Transportation was on the way to the scene. NHP received the report at 4:34 p.m. Until the boulder is moved, the alternative route is State Route 431, Mt. Rose Highway.
