Green Central is the place to be, Saturday, May 13, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., for the The Greenhouse Project's 14th annual Mother's Day Plant Sale. Plants are currently available on-line. These sales will be suspended Saturday through Wednesday, May 17 to allow staff to restock inventory.
Located on Carson High School's campus in Carson City, the event has grown to include an array of vendors, new this year, as well as face painting for the children, a raffle and Build A Basket for Mom, and of course, the always anticipated array of acclimated plants for gardening and landscaping. All of this provides the perfect one-stop shopping experience to find the perfect gift to honor all the moms in your life, enjoy family time and welcome spring.
This year's raffle includes a basket brimming with items donated by the vendors, including an oil painting titled "Summer Imaginings," by Karen Abowd, TGP founder and president; beautiful quilts by Cheryl Rotter and June James; and handcrafted jewlery and pottery by Vicki Crabb, all of whom are TGP board members. Raffle tickets cost $5 each or five for $20.
