Deputies arrest 31-year-old Carson City man for attacking mother while drunk Friday morning

A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Friday morning for domestic battery first after allegedly attacking his mother and pushing her to the ground.

According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched to a residence just before 5 a.m. on Friday morning on report of a man trying to kick the front door down, who the caller stated was her son.

She also advised that she and her son had been in a physical altercation earlier in the night.

Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the mother who stated her son has been living with her and her husband. She told deputies that she received a text from her husband just before midnight telling her she needed to come home because her son was extremely drunk.

When the mother arrived home her son was “yelling nonsense” and had locked himself in the laundry room. She told her son he needed to leave because he was being loud and was going to wake her other children up.

She told deputies that her son walked out the front door and she closed the door behind him. A few minutes later he returned to get some of his belongings, and when she opened the door he pushed her and knocked her to the ground.

She told deputies that she hit the back of her head on a bookcase that was next to the front door and received a cut on the back of her head from the incident. Deputies checked her head and found a small cut on the back of her scalp.

Deputies placed the son in handcuffs and placed him in a patrol vehicle. The son agreed to speak with deputies but stated he did not remember much from the night, and that he did not remember getting into an argument with his mother or pushing her.

He was taken to the Carson City Jail without incident.

Bail: $3,137
