Carson City Aquatic Center's second annual Underwater Egg Hunt went swimmingly
For the second year in a row, the Carson City Aquatic Center's Underwater Egg Hunt was a hit, and some could say, went off swimmingly.
Three hundred children pre-registered for the event, which was held in timed sessions in both the main pool and the tot pool. Eggs were dispersed at the pool's surface as well as sunken eggs which children dove for.
Prizes were awarded to children based on the weight of their eggs collected. Several sponsors from around the community donated for the prize table, in addition to goodie bags to be awarded to all participants.
"We're always adapting to make it a great event," said Tami Jennings, Recreation Program Supervisor of the Aquatics Center.
