Carson City arrests: Woman allegedly threatens to shoot husband over him getting vaccinated

A 74-year-old woman was arrested Saturday for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
Deborah Ellen McCauley was taken into custody at 5:47 p.m. According to the booking report, deputies responded to a Viking Way address after an open 911 call was made to dispatch where a woman was heard yelling in the background.
Deputies arrived at the residence and met with the woman, who advised she was mad at her husband because he got the COVID-19 vaccination, stating her concern of side effects, the report states.
She told officers she grabbed her handgun and deactivated the safety mechanism, telling him she didn't want to live anymore. At that point in the interview the officer placed her into protective custody, according to the report.
Officers spoke with the husband who said the woman was angry at him for receiving the vaccination and started calling him names and throwing objects. He stated at some point the woman grabbed her pistol from a drawer, pointed it at him and threatened to kill him and threatened to kill herself. The man said he retreated to the backyard.
A deputy attempted to gain further information about the incident and advised the woman of her Miranda rights. The woman told the officer to shove it up his ass and refused to answer any further questions. Bail: $20,000.
In other arrests:
— A Carson City man, Mark Anthony Goddard, was taken into custody Saturday, 2:51 a.m. at a South Carson Street casino for suspicion of using a credit/debit card without consent and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to the booking report, deputies were dispatched to the casino for a report of possible fraud.
The reporting party stated her son was in possession of her personal bank cards and currently using them in the casino. The woman told deputies that her son was not to be in possession of the bank cards.
Deputies located the suspect sitting in the sports bar area at one of the machines. The officer asked the man if he would go outside, the report states.
Once outside, the man was detained and an officer explained why he was there. The deputy informed the man that his mother called and stated he wasn't allowed to be in possession of her bank cards and was not allowed to be using the cards.
The man stated that he is allowed to have his mother's bank cards and that his mother has dementia that causes her to forget things, according to the report.
The officer informed the man that he would attempt to contact his mother to ensure he wasn't allowed to be in possession of the cards. The officer was unable to contact the man's mother after several attempts, the report states.
Prior to being taken into custody, he was searched for weapons, drugs and drug paraphernalia. Officers located a white glass methamphetamine pipe in his right pocket. Bail: $6,137.
— A 32-year-old California man, Floyd Russell Janssen, was arrested Sunday for a felony warrant, alleging assault, issued out of El Dorado County, Calif. Bail: $75,000.
— A 46-year-old Carson City woman, Patricia Dawn Lindquist, was arrested Sunday for a felony warrant issued out of Dayton Township Court, and suspicion of possession of a controlled substance. Bail: $5,000.
— A 37-year-old Oregon man was arrested Sunday for a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant issued out of Douglas County. Bail: $619.
— A 54-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday for misdemeanor suspicion of driving with a revoked license and a department of alternative sentencing violation. Bail; $2,137.
— A 60-year-old Mound House man, Stanley Thomas Fleming, was arrested Saturday, 9:26 a.m. for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, a felony, a misdemeanor outside agency warrant and misdemeanor being an ex-felon failing to register. Bail: $3,342.
— A 38-year-old Carson City woman, Kanemah Arnce, was arrested Saturday, 9:02 a.m. for suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and a department of alternative sentencing violation. Bail: $6,637.
