New Center Elevates Plastic Surgery and Dermatology Care in Northern Nevada

(Press Release) RENO, NV — Janiga MDs recently unveiled the practice’s state-of-the-art plastic surgery and dermatology care center offices. Even to the unskilled eye the initial glance reveals the breadth of planning and patient consideration that the practice has invested in the new facility.
The nine-room office, located off US 395 South at Damonte Ranch Parkway, provides much needed space for growth, while housing a leading-edge array of instruments and tools to advance Janiga MDs’ busy comprehensive medical and cosmetic care practice. Staffed by a team of seven the practice is run by Dr. Timothy A. Janiga and Dr. Jennifer J. Janiga, and is the only team in the northern half of the Silver State to offer complete cosmetic and dermatology care.
“We are intent on making our patient experience as positive and fulfilling as possible,” said Dr. Jennifer Janiga. “Everything about this new center, including our one-on-one approach of practicing medicine, is geared toward patient comfort and the utmost care.”
The new Vectra, by Canfield Scientific, is a primary example. The body imaging technology allows both doctor and patient to view three-dimensional images of a surgical outcome. For a patient facing breast cancer reconstruction, for example, or a facelift procedure, seeing the end result is quite dramatic.
“The Vectra provides invaluable piece of mind,” said Dr. Timothy Janiga.
Additionally, the practice has implemented an electronic health record (EHR) system designed specifically for plastic surgery and dermatology practices. With the new EHR system, patients can log on and complete registration and medical history from their home or office, removing the age-old burden of completing reams of documents in the waiting room. But one of greatest values is that the digital filing will reduce the error potential that can accompany the manual transferring of patient information into paper practice records. Plus, the practice can alert patients via email or text about approaching annual exam dates, allowing the patient to update information on their own schedule. Traditional paper records are also available.
“Patients are conducting more of their business and personal lives online. We are simply accommodating that reality,” Dr. Jennifer affirmed. “We offer a complimentary wi-fi network for patients to use while waiting for the doctor, as well.”
Completing the picture, literally, are the exam room iPad tablets that provide doctors a graphically animated means of explaining procedures to patients. Utilizing Understand.com’s dynamic 3-D illustrations, the doctors can visually detail what’s entailed with a surgery or treatment.
