Carson City Sheriff’s Office provides update on juvenile runaway

CARSON CITY — Nevadans who have been worried about meeting the Oct. 1 deadline for getting a Real ID-compliant driver’s license or ID card can now breathe a lot easier.

On Monday, April 19, 2021 at approximately 9:13 p.m., Nevada Highway Patrol troopers responded to an injury crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in Mound House on US-50 and Newman Lane in Lyon County.

CARSON CITY — Tuesday, at Recovery Advocacy Day 2021, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak announced his endorsement and the launch of the Nevada Recovery Friendly Workplace Initiative to be housed at the Department of Health and Human Services.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office initiative titled “101 Days of Summer” series is kicking off the summer by providing the following resources in an effort to educate the community on drug and alcohol addiction, to provide those suffering from addiction the methods and tools needed to seek help, as well as provide encouragement and support to the families.

The Carson City Senior Citizen's Center has helped boost vaccination numbers by hosting a weekly vaccination clinic for 450 people throughout March and April. In partnership with Smith’s Food & Drug and Immunize Nevada, vaccinating just over 100 people each week.

The Capital City Arts Initiative announces its exhibition, "Spring Forward" at the Community Development Building (the Brick), 108 E Proctor Street, Carson City, through May 20, 2021. Students from Carson, Dayton, Douglas, and Pioneer high schools have work in the exhibit which is available online at ccainv.org.

Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting one death, 50 new COVID-19 cases and 53 recoveries in the Quad County region, from Saturday, April 24 to Monday, April 26, 2021.
