Put Me in Coach: CHS student invites community to senior project game winning blood drive
This Friday March 8, Carson High School senior Nik Hylan is motivating blood donors to put on their game face and show up for an important life saving cause. One donation can save the lives of as many as three people.
"Let’s have a record breaking donation day at Vitalant," said Hylan of the blood donation center at 256 Winnie Lane in Carson City. "I'm looking for community superstars! I want you off the bench and in the game as I hit the final drive of my senior project. Be a part of my team and participate in this dedicated effort by our community to pull off the best donation day ever in Carson City.”
A variety of raffle prizes from local businesses will be awarded to all donor players who participate. The drive is from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. It takes less than one hour to give blood with Vitalant staff on hand to ease the donation process.
If you have never donated before, Hylan encourages people to give it a try. Visit bloodhero.com, or call 887-9111, and mention Nik Hylan, when you are making your appointment. You have the power to make a difference and save someone’s life. Go Team!
