Carson City sheriff’s log: Man upset with food order jailed for disorderly conduct

A 27-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday at a Retail Drive fast food restaurant for misdemeanor suspicion of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

According to the arrest report, deputies responded at around 3 p.m. to the restaurant for a report of a man who was angry with restaurant staff, yelling at them and refusing to leave.

Deputies learned the man became angry at a female employee while he was in the drive through over a miscommunication of the order. Deputies were told the suspect threatened to “beat her ass” over the incident, the arrest report states.

The man then parked in front of the business, went inside and began yelling obscenities and such as “f*** that b***h” and “f*****g Mexicans,” the arrest report states. Others at the restaurant were able to confirm the man’s behavior with investigating deputies.

The suspect was interviewed and read his Miranda warning. He stated he understand and said he never said he was going to “kick her ass,” the arrest report states. He did, however, admit to saying he would do whatever he needed to in order to get his money back and also admitted to using obscenities toward staff at the restaurant, the arrest report states.

A deputy asked the man to put his phone down and stand up. The man asked why. The officer again told the suspect to stand up. The man again refused. The officer grabbed his right wrist and attempted to stand him up so he could be placed into cuffs. The man pulled away. Another deputy took control of his left arm, where the man continued to resist both officers.

He was told numerous times to place his hands behind his back but he continued to refuse. The man was told he would be tasered if he didn’t comply. The man placed his hands behind his back and was cuffed. Once in the back of the patrol car the man thrashed around and began to kick doors. He continued to yell obscenities while on the way to jail. Bail: $594.
