Carson City Humane Society’s Pet of the Week: Slade
Happy Wednesday Carson City and say hello to our Nevada Humane Society’s Pet of the Week: Slade!
Slade is a three year old Australian Cattle Dog, Blue Heeler mix, and he is currently looking to find his new home!
Slade was given up by his owner to the Humane Society on New Years Eve, where he has remained ever since.
Slade loves other dogs, going on walks (which he is excellent at) and playing.
Slade probably isn’t a great fit for families with children under 10, and kids under 15 will need to meet him first.
Slade, like many silly dogs, is afraid of hats, so make sure to be respectful and remove you cap before your visit!
Let’s hear from Slade himself!
“Hi my name is Slade! I’m super sweet and very loyal, but hats do scare me. I love my walks and I’m great at them. I enjoy exercise and play time. Oh, and did I mention how great I am with other dogs? I may not be a fit for a large family with young children, but if you’re active I could use a little more exercise time in the yard.”
You can stop by and visit Slade, and take him home as a perfect Valentine’s Day present, by heading to the Carson City branch of the Nevada Humane Society located at 549 Airport Road. Hours are 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily.
