Man who turns self in on warrant, resists arrest and kicks Carson City patrol vehicle
A 23-year-old man was arrested Friday for misdemeanor resisting a public officer, destruction of city property and a contempt of court warrant, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.
According to the arrest report, the man had contacted the sheriff’s office saying he wanted to turn himself in on an outstanding warrant.
After dispatch confirmed the warrant, the man of Schurz, Nev., was asked to turn around and put his hands behind his back. The man said “f*** that, I’m not turning around for nobody,” the arrest report states.
Deputies attempted to calm the man down since he did want to turn himself in. He clinched both of his fist into balls and kept repeating “f*** that, I’m not turning around for nobody.” Deputies commanded him to turn around and put his hands behind his back multiple times, the report states.
Eventually he turned around and put his hands behind his back. When deputies attempted to cuff the man, he clenched his hands and hit the patrol vehicle causing a dent. Deputies attempted to get him to stop resisting multiple times but he would not stop resisting. He was tasered and both wrists were placed into handcuffs, the report states.
He was arrested at 10:36 p.m. and placed into the patrol vehicle where he kicked inside. While at jail he attempted to fight with deputies and was put into a safety cell. Bail: $5,989.
