Soroptimist of Carson City profiles 'Women Helping Women' honoree Suzanne Crawford

As part of a continuing series of profiles, Soroptimist International of Carson City is pleased to introduce our next 2021 “Women Helping Women” honoree Suzanne Crawford, who is among eight Carson City area women to be honored at our Feb. 18 virtual event.

Suzanne is the Victim/Witness Administrator for the Carson City District Attorney’s Office. Her dedication to helping women and girls understand and persevere through the criminal justice process after being a victim of violent crimes is immeasurable.

Not only is she a trusting advocate, she provides support and guidance, offers access to community resources, and a caring shoulder that together, empowers the women and girls in their efforts to overcome and believe in a brighter future.

Suzanne’s commitment to her work and the wellbeing of the victims she assists, many of whom have suffered from sexual assault or domestic violence, is certainly inspiring and a testament to how our community can support others. Thank you, Suzanne for your expertise, your heartfelt support, and for your belief in the promise that justice brings to victims of crimes.

A strong cold front will move through the Carson City region and Sierra from Tuesday night into Wednesday bringing the potential for damaging winds, widespread snow down to all valley floors and very cold temperatures, according to the National Weather Service.
