Nevada state senator plans to introduce right-to-die bill

A Nevada state senator plans to introduce a bill at the 2015 Legislature that would give terminally ill patients the ability to voluntarily end their lives.

The bill is expected to be modeled after Oregon’s Death with Dignity Act, which allows patients with a projected life expectancy of six months to request a prescription for self-ingested medication to end life, said state Sen. David Parks, D-Las Vegas, who plans to introduce the bill.
