Carson City fire and rescue were called Thursday night to a two-vehicle crash on the Fifth Street bridge. There were no serious injuries reported but the crash did cause traffic delays at the bridge, which was temporarily closed.
The accident was reported at 6:06 p.m. and involved a BMW and a Subaru Outback in which air bags were deployed. The crash happened on the overpass, which remained closed as of 7:40 p.m. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, said Carson City Sheriff's Sgt. Scott McDaniel.
There were a total of four people between the two vehicles and puppies in one car. One person in the BMW was taken to the hospital and the dogs were secured and unhurt, said McDaniel.
