Two teens arrested in connection with Carson City market burglary that left trail of blood
Carson City Sheriff’s Office investigators have arrested two juveniles in connection to the commercial burglary that happened Wednesday at the Fairview Market in Carson City.
Investigators identified the juveniles from surveillance video from a nearby elementary school. The juveniles were located on the 1700 block of Myles Drive. Evidence from the burglary was recovered, said Carson City Sheriff's Office Detective Sam Hatley.
Two boys, a 13-year-old Carson City resident and 14-year Reno resident were booked into the Carson City Juvenile Detention Facility for burglary.
The crime happened in the early morning hours at the Fairview Market on the corner of Fairview and Saliman in Carson City. The suspects entered the business through a window and suffered what appears to be a significant injury to either their hands, fingers or arms. The two allegedly took property from inside the store before fleeing south along Saliman.
Officers were able to follow evidence, including a blood trail to Eastwood Drive off Colorado Street and ending near Pinebrook Drive in Carson City.
